Trina Nestibo takes a holistic approach to guiding her students towards finding their own musical path. She has over twenty years of teaching experience and is delighted to have joined the faculty at Delta Community Music School in February 2022.
As a vocal coach, Trina teaches the technical aspects of using one’s voice as an instrument, including breath control, body awareness, intonation, articulation, and ear training.
Trina has worked as a singer-songwriter and touring musician releasing three original albums and performing in festivals, folk clubs, and venues across Western Canada.
As a result, she emphasizes creative expression and vocal freedom in her sessions with students, in addition to stage presence and performance skills.
Her goal as a teacher is to help each student to explore and discover their own personal artistic voice. And to have fun doing so.
Trina is a Board Certified Music Therapist and since 1999, has worked with individuals with diverse abilities and unique needs. In addition to teaching, she offers individual and group music therapy sessions and adaptive piano lessons.
