About Our School
Welcome to
Delta Community Music School
Our mission is to bring the best musicians and teachers of the Lower Mainland to Delta. Our school serves the needs of Ladner, Tsawwassen, North Delta, and other communities in the Lower Mainland. We offer private music lessons in clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, guitar, piano, voice, violin, viola, cello, band, jazz ensemble, Music Theory, and History.
The Delta Community Music School was founded by the citizens of Delta to bring qualified expert instructors to the community. We opened our doors for the first time in September 1981 teaching music lessons through the school board’s Delta Continuing Education program and later became a registered Charitable Organization in 1983. We have been bringing music to Delta for 40 years! Since that time we have grown to a school with more than 200 students enrolled in private and group instruction. Over the past 40 years, thousands of Delta citizens have been enriched by our arts education programs, concerts, and events.
Programs
We offer a variety of programs ranging from private lessons on most instruments and voice to ensemble classes for voice, and jazz study, as well as summer workshops and festivals
