DCMS presents our Spring Student Recital, Sunday March 13th at 2pm and 3pm.
There will be an intermission / reception in between the two parts of the concert.

The 2011 edition of the South Delta Jazz Festival and Workshop is shaping up. Workshop registration forms are now online in pdf format on the festival website at www.southdeltajazzfestival.com . Register before May 15th and receive a registration discount.

UPDATE: They are bringing in a Fazioli grand piano for this, amazing new handcrafted instrument from Italy, first Fazioli performance in South Delta.

Michelle.this sounds wonderful! Unfortunately, can’t attend as Christine Magee is performing in Coquitlam for a fundraiser event for orphanages in Burma. I’m thrilled that the Oavtion series proceeds are being given to the Community Fund of Faith. Such a beautiful Outreach to people in our community who are in need! Blessings on you as you continue to bring brilliant music to this community.

Violin Boot CampWant to accomplish a semesters worth of technical work in 4 days?
Come to Violin Boot Camp!
What is it? – Violin Boot Camp is an intensive retreat for serious intermediate to advanced violinists aimed at improving technique and building a strong foundation.
What we’ll cover:
• 3 octave scales
• Double Stops
• Bow Strokes
• Vibrato
• Tone Improvement
• Left-Hand Facility
• Sight-Reading
• Etudes
Eligibility: Participants must be an intermediate to advanced violinists (Suzuki Book 4/ RCM Grade 4 and above) and have a base knowledge of shifting and vibrato.
Where: Delta Community Music School (4705 Arthur Drive, Delta BC)
When: December 27-30, 2010 | 9am – 1pm
Cost: $200*
