Bio

Sylvia is a working voice artist, director, vocal coach and performer based out of Vancouver, BC and was most recently seen in RainCity Theatre’s production of Cabaret as Fraulëin Kost.  Other notable theatre performance credits: Yente in Fiddler on the Roof (RCMT), Les Misérables (Arts Club Theatre) and Janet in Waiting for the Parade (Chemainus Theatre).  Select Musical Director/Directing credits: The Rocky Horror Picture Show (Studio 58), 7 Stories, 9 to 5: The Musical, Almost an Evening, It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play (BlueShore Centre for the Performing Arts, CapU) and Evil Dead The Musical (DSR Productions).  Sylvia owns and operates Purely Vocal Casting where she provides off-camera voice casting for TV and film: Bones of Crows (CBC), Harmony from the Heart (GAC Family), Julie & The Phantoms (NETFLIX), Snowpiercer (NETFLIX), Strange Magic (Disney/Lucasfilm), MOTIVE (CTV), Dirk Gently: Holistic Detective (NETFLIX), FIFA 18, 19 & 20 for EA Games, and on-set vocal coaching: Noelle (Disney+) and A Series of Unfortunate Events (NETFLIX).  As a voice actor, Sylvia has enjoyed a varied career: Bibi & Tina, L.O.R.D., (Legend of Ravaging Dynasties), Escape from Planet Earth, My Little Pony, Martha Speaks, Geronimo Stilton, EA Games and a boatload of Anime classics including Inuyasha, Vision of Escaflowne, Mobil Suit Gundam, Boys Over Flowers and Ranma ½.  Sylvia was honoured to be the English-speaking Announcer at Whistler Medals Plaza during the 2010 Olympic Winter Games and holds a B. Mus in Voice Performance from UBC.  Sylvia recently resigned from a long-held faculty position in the School of Performing Arts at Capilano University where she taught and mentored student-artists in both the Musical Theatre and Acting for Stage & Screen Diploma Programs.  www.sylviazaradic.com
